For this bathroom, we wanted to maximize the usage of the space to give our clients the best experience when using their new master bathroom.Our designers created a corner walk-in shower using a half wall for one of the sides to create an open concept. This allowed us to add more needed storage in the form of shelves next to the shower. We also increased the size of the vanity to a double bowl sink.Our client also wanted a pop of color, so together we decided to do a dark accent wall that helped contrast all the white in the room. 1 Living House is a minimalist residence located in Kanagawa, Japan. This is a general renovation of a 40-year-old apartment complex. The floor plan was the plan adopted by many of the estates built at the time, but there was a garden with a small height difference between the indoor floor. In addition, the total length of the indoor and garden area was about 18 meters. In order to make use of this length, the living room has no partitions, and furniture was brought to the east and west walls, so that an open space is put together in the center of the room with a floor plan that allows one to feel the connection to the garden. The historic rural family house, remodeled in the mid-70s, turns into a modern, single-family house with a 'pensieve' and a panoramic terrace on the upper floor.The design philosophy was to transform the original introverted and dark building in the interiors into a house all facing the outside, bright and open, with new views towards the garden, the architectural emergencies (baroque church of Santa Venera della Madonna delle Grazie ) and natural landscapes. Valtournenche, at 1500 meters above sea level, is famous for its skiing facilities that connect to Cervinia. The typical local house is very low, extremely small in size, completely covered in wood and with warm and feeble lightings. Externally it is possible to find the typical combination of gray stone and wood, of which the local vernacular architecture "rascard" is an exemplary case.
