In this project we started from scratch consulting our client to help her select a new property for her family. As a result two adjacent units were chosen in a newly built city center residential tower and we launched the project from the shell-and-core stage combining the two units into a single 115 sq. m 3-bedroom apartment.
It addition to the luxury of working with free space planning we enjoyed the carte blanche in terms of the concept or stylistic choices.
With the client’s personality being the main source of inspiration we named this project “Purity of Thought”.
This inspiration transformed into pure lines consonant with the Russian constructivist architectureand Luke Turner’s ideas on metamodernism.
We think it is very important for a resident of a huge metropolis such as Moscow to breathe deeply at home. Filling the space of this apartment with air, adding the romance of clouds, rain and mountains to this urban space was our main idea in this project.
We aimed to create a very livable space where one could feel a lot of air, but also see the color of air.
As we believe in holistic interior architecture, it was also important within our concept that all the cabinetry, millwork and many furniture items were designed in-house and artisan-made for this project.
We infused the space with halftone colors, selected items of vintage furniture and works by the Russian contemporary artist VaryaSchuka. We also chose Kelly Wearstler’s arm-chair and rugs by The Rug Company and lighting by Catellani& Smith and &tradition by Jaime Hayon.
The project was completed in just 7 months setting our new timeline record.
