Poncelet Cheese Bar Bacelona

Sancal as Commercial Furniture

The interior design studio headed by José Manuel Ferrero has designed the new Poncelet Cheese Bar in Barcelona. Hosted by the Hotel Meliá Sarriá, the 400 square meter restaurant is bound to become the meeting point for cheese lovers in Barcelona. The perfect place to enjoy a totally new culinary concept.

The new project retains the basic ideas that lay behind its successful predecessor in Madrid. Eclectic and fresh, the design communicates a unique personality. Within the bar there are a variety of spaces with different seating propositions for different easting styles.

The reception features a library, full of books with everything you could ever want to know about cheese. EstudiHac chose Casta lounge chairs and Pion tables to create an area to relax or wait.

Within the restaurant a wide range of tables have been selected, amongst which we find the Tea and Casta chairs along with comfortable Talo lounge chairs. Comfortable Tea stools have been placed at the bar.

A pleasure for both eye and mouth. Don’t miss it!

Poncelet Cheese Bar

Vondom as Commercial Furniture

Poncelet Cheese Bar is the new culinary space located inside the facilities of Barcelona’s Meliá Sarriá Hotel. JMFerrero-Esdudihac’s signature style can be felt through his use of color, materials, and decorative elements. A total of 4,300 square feet of converted space becomes the meeting point for cheese enthusiast and its culture. Poncelet’s trademark stamp can be felt even from the exterior, vis à vis the impressive façade, composed of a wooden structural framework. A dynamic quality is achieved by hanging VONDOM’s Marquis Planters, designed JMFerrero, at different heights. A harmonious mix of contemporary elements and nature- inspire donesadd an evocative and wild touch to theensemble.

Poncelet, a cheese jewelry in barcelona “cult of cheese”
With the Cheese Bar Poncelet in Barcelona, an area of 300 square meters dedicated to the 'cult' of cheese, the Valencian studio estudi{H}ac has created a meeting point designed primarily for cheese-lovers and those who appreciate the cheese culture, although actually Poncelet represents an ideal place where anyone can take advantage of an innovative and truly specialized gastronomic proposal.

The decorative project has been created starting from an in-depth interpretation of the brand identity making it unique under the sign of the customization that always characterizes the design approach of José Manuel Ferrero and his team. The result is a bright and wide interior with original and innovative furnishings combining custom-made wooden tables, benches where the idea of cheese is expressed by small stylized figures of great evocative appeal, a fabulous vertical garden conveys freshness and naturalness, original ceiling dotted with small sticks of colors.

The Poncelet Cheese Bar has a strong aesthetic impact right from the imposing external façade, characterized by an intertwining of wooden elements combined to create rhombuses of different sizes. The identification stamp of Poncelet connecting the space of the cheese pantry with the bars area through a hydraulic floor tile, tailor-made for this project and characterized by the graphics of the brand Poncelet.

The architecture of the whole space is designed to put in evidence the large cheese cellar, designed in the shape of a diamond to emphasize the value of its precious content and which features materials such as natural oak or mosaic treated terracotta aimed to create a very special environment, a real cheese 'jewelry'.
