The Calacatta model in the Classtone collection has no doubt been the design that has received the greatest attention from the media out of the entire Neolith range as it has received important international awards for product design such as the Red Dot Product Design Awards and the Muuuz International Awards 2015, among others, which prove just how elegant and original the design is.

Inspired by the best Calacatta from Carrara slabs available on the market, the Calacatta by Neolith model offers a design with a very well-distributed and uniform grey vein all along the slab which optimizes its use irrespective of the type of use or format. The greyish mesh with subtle hints of gold lies on a bright white background which brings light and vitality to the place where it is used.

The Calacatta by Neolith model is unique in that it can offer two different esthetic effects when the slabs are placed in sequence: a Bookmatch effect and an Endmatch effect. This original characteristic offers architects and designers different ways to decorate a space using the same material.

Specifications:

Materials: Neolith® is composed of feldspar, silica, glass minerals, clay minerals, quartz and natural pigments.

Thickness and Formats:

3mm: 3600 x 1200 mm

6mm: 2600 x 1200 mm and 3200 x 1500 mm

12mm: 3200 x 1200 mm

20mm: 3200 x 1200 mm

Finishes:

Polished: confers a perfect linear reflection which gains depth and elegance.

Silk: Matte finish with a thin layer of glaze that provides a subtle shine and a nice soft touch. Surface finish that results extremely easy to clean.

Features:

Waterproof and resistant to liquids, with an absorption level of almost zero.

Its hard surface makes it resistant to scratches and abrasion.

It does not burn in contact with fire nor does it emit smoke or toxic substances when subjected to high temperatures.

Resistant to any kind of chemical cleaning agent such as bleach or ammonia.

It does not give off any substances that are harmful to the environment.

Up to 52% of recycled content in every slab. 100% recyclable.

It has a high shear rate, making it resistant to heavy loads and pressure.

Lighter than many cladding or interior surfaces, Neolith can be produced in varying degrees of thickness, including an ultra-thin 3mm depth. At 6mm it’s used on skyscrapers, at 20mm it’s an attractive kitchen island.

It does not give off any harmful substances and is totally suitable for contact with food. NSF Certified.

Being 100% natural, its colors do not fade away when being exposed to sun light or other extreme weather conditions.
