Meet the playful and original Flos Aim Pendant lamp

Playful and original, the Flos Aim Pendant lamp, designed by brothers Erwan and Ronan Bouroullec, is an example of design stripped down to its basics. Central to their concept, the brothers wanted to retain the core essence and spirit of the design’s function – being a lamp. The award-winning concept is therefore limited to just a simple light and its cord. The fixture is highly versatile for any setting not only because of its appearance but also for the directional control of the light source itself.

Particularly beautiful when suspended alongside other Aim pendants, the body of the classic lamp is made from varnished aluminium sheet and the shade from photo-etched polycarbonate. The internal reflector is fabricated with photo-etched ABS.

Featuring a cable length of 9 meters, the fixture can be suspended up to 3 meters from the ceiling, thus providing freedom and flexibility to adjust the direction and height of the light source.

Powered directly from mains, the LED light source (16W 2700 K 1250 m CR190) is included. The pendant light is available in three versions: a hardwired version with a 5’’ diameter canopy that is hardwired to a 120V junction box (no additional LED required); a plug-in version with a (non-dimmable) switch; and a fixed version.

Depending upon the selected wiring option, the LED may be dimmed with a dimmer approved by Flos.

Created by FLOS lighting, who have been crafting lighting objects since 1962, exploring light – or alternatively its absence – is key to the company philosophy. Bold experimentations in shape, material and LED technology plus collaboration with internally acclaimed designers are hallmarks of the company.

Made in Italy, the award-winning Flos Aim Pendant Lamp was originally brought to the market in 2015. Already a known entity and classic in the market, the design is an industrial version of the ‘Liane’ lamp as presented at the Kreo Gallery in Paris in 2010.

Currently the lamp is available in white, black, and bronze. In 2021, new and lively colours Anodized Blue Steel, Anodized Green, and Anodized Light Silver were introduced to the market.
