CVC House

The CVC House is generated from the articulation of the garden´s exterior spaces, terraces and the central patio with the spaces that were required by the client, as a way to generate a dialogue between the built space and the open space. In addition to a sequence of open spaces with varying degrees of intimacy, that allow to pass gradually from the large space of the street to the green space at the back of the plot.  Rafael Gamo Inside a 3x3x3 grid, 10 volumes are distributed around a central patio. This way, the project intertwines two units that can be inhabited independently. Rafael Gamo A compact program within a porous massing, allows the interior spaces to have optimal conditions of sunlight and views without... En savoir plus

Apartamento E16

Casa Acapulco

Casa Acapulco is a project that sought to make a harmony, a dance, between the topography of the land, the context, the vegetation, the climate and the purity of the geometry of this house, it is a play of lights, solids, leaks modulation visuals, materiality that seem to caress the environment where it stands. Jaime Navarro With open spaces from end to end, thanks to the windows that connect the house with the sea and with the vegetation that surrounds it, the project tried to be as simple as possible so that the landscape would be the protagonist of the project. Jaime Navarro Without being invasive with the land, the project adapts to its topography, not the land to the project, thanks to that within the architecture and inter... En savoir plus

Casa Escondida

Wóolis was named by the workers, or rather artisans, who gave life to the built space. Its meaning in Mayan is ball, round, circle; they called the house this way referring to the central cylinder, the heart of the project. Zaickz Moz Located north of the city of Mérida, Yucatán, in a secondary street in Temozón Norte, Wóolis is a place that invites us to observe and remember our origins, a contemporary observatory that provokes us to discover the passage of time that can be seen in the lines that the sun and the upper lattice of the cylinder paint on the walls at different times of the day, traces that change their location during the year due to the varying inclination of the sun. Zaickz Moz... En savoir plus

Sherwin Williams

A compelling thing about this project was the client´s invitation to work again with them in a proposal that will allow to consolidate the task teams -operating from different locations- into the same space that was going to be developed in three stages. It seemed complex, but the correct planning and identity, which we defined as a team in the previous project, laid the groundwork to carry out this new challenge achieving the client´s intended purpose.   Being a company well known for its logo, a world globe covered with paint, the immediate answer might be overusing color and to paint each wall in a different shade and turn the office into a sample book, but we decided not to follow that path. In our experience a worksp... En savoir plus

Cienfuegos

Unified spatial concept accented with Mexican craftsmanship at Santomate

In the city of Morelia, Mexico a 19th-century colonial-style construction that integrates 3 different properties via a central patio with a great variety of vegetation forms the basis of new restaurant concept Santomate by Daniela Bucio Sistos. Credit: Dane Alonso The three spaces that now form the restaurant are almost monochromatic both inside and outside to avoid the distraction that comes from a variety of textures and materials. The range of colours selected - right down to the bathrooms -  is inspired by shades of green, blue and yellow, which are found in the region's glazed pottery. Credit: Dane Alonso The restaurant is entered through a narrow street door, upon which visitors are greeted by a dark green foyer. From... En savoir plus
