The Movistar team offices

The Verne Arquitectura project has recently refurbished the Movistar cycling team’s work and meeting spaces that are located inside an industrial warehouse where all the bicycles and fitness machines are kept. To evoke the dynamics of cycling, the architectural studio has focused on natural materials, natural light and views over the surrounding landscape. The entire space has been restyled to represent the classic values of this professional sport, while also symbolising other themes like the advanced technology these bicycles are equipped with, the craft-like detail with which the fitness machines are tuned and the commitment to sustainability that characterises all the team’s recent activities. Adela Apartments

The project came about with the development of a large residential block close to the Elwood foreshore and Port Philip Bay. The brief simply requested a spacious apartment product that was cutting edge and contemporary, but subtle both inside and out. The concept of a large apartment resulted in six single level dwellings, each with the proportions of a small house. The apartments are low maintenance, functionally adaptable to appeal to a range of potential residents, and highly sustainable. Externally, rather than go for a standard “stacked wedding cake” form, the building was set back significantly from the adjoining properties on the lower levels. This allowed the main volume of the building to have vertical sides and reduce... En savoir plus

Portsea House

'A previously dated but solidly built 90’s style house with ‘good bones’ has been renovated with minimal structural changes but with a comprehensive interior design program. Our clients purchased a large, solidly built and well-located beach house. However, the kitchen was impractical, the large bar unnecessary and the finishes were colourful – the house had the sensibility of a 90’s office interior rather than a home near the beach. Our repeat clients trusted we would give the house a more relaxed and warm feel as well as creating practical spaces for a family that likes to cook and entertain.  As the house was quite large we had sufficient space to enlarge the kitchen and include the client’s sele... Arch-Texture

It is not a coincidence that the word ‘Arch’ is found in both ‘Arch-itecture’ and ‘Arch-aic’.1 In recent times there has been a resurgence in the use of the ‘Arch’ in architectural forms throughout the world.  Why? Most likely as the result of a generational ebb and flow in our cultural relationship to our collective history; a youthful break with our past replaced with a mature revaluation. Modernism emerged from the conformist historicism of the Victorian era and sought to euthanise that past architectural narrative, and so few arches were visible in its rigid Euclidian geometry.  However, following the excesses of the Second World War a melancholic reappearance of a veiled neocla... Hill House by Decus Interiors

Timeless with a twist. Melding a classic yet contemporary interior from which to appreciate a jaw-dropping view of the city skyline, this family home was designed to last a lifetime. Responding to a brief for the ultimate in quality of finishes and furnishings whilst mindfully avoiding a gallery of showpieces, we grounded our aesthetic in the European inflexion of the architectural language. Layering an energetic and warm palette with the selection of playful art, we balanced fine materiality and specification of timeless bespoke furniture pieces, to carefully shape a resounding sense of home for this busy family of six.   Words - Decus InteriorsArchitecture - Luigi Rosselli ArchitectsBuilder - Critharis ConstructionPhotography - An... This collaborative process allows architects and interior designers from across the world to respond to site specific needs or the simple desire for something truly one of a kind.   For this residential project in Australia by Conrad Architects, Articolo lighting was specified for its atmospheric, jewel-like qualities, contemporary linearity and orb-like elements in step with the other circular punctuations of the scheme such as round skylights and mirrors, and a sculpted central stairwell. The pièce de résistance is a bespoke installation of fifty ‘Fizi’ ball lights sus... Hawthorne House 01

Located at the peak of the hill, in the prestigious suburb Hawthorne, with spectacular 360 degree views of Brisbane, including an undisrupted view of the river and CBD. The client, who has resided in the 4 storey home for a decade, engaged Cg Design Studio to undertake an extensive renovation of the interior and exterior. This process included reconfiguring interior spaces, reimaging the once subdued and heavy dwelling, into a light, luxurious and chic home with the atmosphere of an exclusive hotel. The Cg team expanded upon the subtle curves in the architecture to soften the existing hard lines, expressed in details such as the statement brass kitchen island bench, tiled ensuite shower ceiling, as well as curved bulkheads and staircase...
