Casa M&M

The apartment is located in a building built between the 50s and 60s of the last century in Cuneo. The approach was consistent with the original style, both in the distribution of spaces and in the use of materials. The project maintains the typical central corridor system for distribution to the various environments. An iron portal was created that divides the living area from the corridor and therefore from the study and sleeping areas. The kitchen was open space joined to the living room and was moved to a smaller room but still connected to the living room. The corridor has now also taken on the function of a reading area with the installation of a self-supporting bookcase. MVRDV celebrates opening of its Berlin office with MVRDV Haus Berlin exhibition

Ahead of the opening of their new Berlin office in September, MVRDV has launched a new exhibition at the Architektur Galerie Berlin, celebrating almost 30 years’ worth of work in Germany. The walls of MVRDV Haus Berlin form a densely packed archive that shows off both current and past German projects by MVRDV – including unseen projects from our past and newly-revealed future projects. At the same time, a team of MVRDV’s architects working on German projects transforms part of the exhibition into a ‘working office’ that gives visitors an insight into MVRDV’s working methods. © Jan Bitter MVRDV’s relationship with Germany began in their very first project, the Europan 1991 winner Ber... House SV

The original building was conceived for an architect office in Kortrijk and is a part of a housing complex build in the 70s.The patio-houses of this neighbourhood have flat roofs and white painted  brick walls.  The gardens of  the houses are closed to the street and neighbours to guarantee privacy (and have also the white painted walls). The building we had to ‘renovate or restore’ is on the edge of this neighbourhood but has the same beautiful and typical sphere.   The original office had 3 volumes around a garden.  The main office was placed 1.40 m above the ground to ensure a panoramic view over the fields. The typical sloping glass façade and the lifted volume makes the building unique. &n... En savoir plus

ND apartment

ND Apartment - is an affirmation of the beauty that comes from the diverse WOOD materials combination that Nghia-Architect has brought to the owner of this apartment. The combination of wood materials sometimes improvised, sometimes subtly arranged, and then blended in with other materials and emotions has brought a new look to the apartment, which is tedious and monotonous.   The renovation of ND Apartment includes 2 main stages including:   Changing of space dividing frame systems (1) Interior finishing of apartments with the main material of WOOD and materials of the same feel (2)   (1) Change of space dividing frame system Changing the location of the wall to divide the space in the current apartment not only ensu... Co-Sharing Office

The Co-Sharing Office has the main function as an architect consultant office, and also as a sharing space for various activities.   This office is a renovation of developer building products. PARKING SAINT ROCH

The new parking is located in the heart of Montpellier, in the ZAC New Saint-Roch including the plans for the extension of the city center. The Parking is the structuring link in the extension of pedestrian areas between the Place de la Comédie and the train station. Saint Roch, in the heart of the railway landscape, completes "the intermodal transport unit" of the exchange of the train station. The insertion of the "suspended-street", spine of the parking space, establishes an enlargement of the public space (ep) and re-activates the relationship between the users of the parking and the locals. It can be either a passage or a place, depending on the expansion of the "suspended-street", but on either case it is a place of social cohesion... En savoir plus

Design Parking

In Selva Val Gardena, a house with particular architectural language has been designed by the Architect Office Perathoner Architects, 1,563 meters above sea level, nestled among the majestic peaks of the Dolomites, natural UNESCO heritage. It is located in the middle of a unique landscape and offers an exceptional view of the Sella massif.   The aesthetics of the entire building has a modernist flavor with clean lines, while retaining the echoes of architectural traditions with the use of traditional local materials such as stone and wood. The initial goal of the project was the search of the better integration of the building into the surrounding environment of the natural alpine landscape.   The steep slope of the terra... 25hours Hotel

The 25hours Hotel Zurich West, designed by Alfredo Häberli, was inaugurated in November 2012. The hotel is the Swiss designer’s most exhaustive project to date and comprises more than 60 individual products of his design. ‘Designing the 25hours Hotel was the most complex interior design project I took on in my 20 years as a designer’, comments Alfredo Häberli on the first complete design of a hotel, allowing him to also combine renowned products with new ideas. From the ground floor, home to the hall, bar, restaurant and lobby, visitors can take a flight of stairs up to the first floor, the living room, guild room and kitchen club – the hotel’s event area. The following floors, up until the sixth, are home to the 126 guest rooms belonging... En savoir plus

Cabin Straumsnes

Paradoxically the new main cabin at Årsund was built after the annex. This due to the fact that the original cabin, with exception of the annex, was removed to make way for the new-build. Moreover, the annex was drawn by another architect office and completed a few years ago. We therefore had to design a new whole, which included the annex and yet at the same time created a new building which in itself would provide a satisfactory solution both for site and programThe result is both a traditional shelter with a gabled roof, and at the same time a modernist complex of added units dominated by flat roofed modules. The top, front module facing west contains a small study and has the best ocean views. The room can sway in storms, but the constru... En savoir plus
