The water tower in Västervik sits at the very entrance to the town. Being a concrete structure from the fifties, it was in dire need of reconstruction. Västervik opted for a solution where the concrete structure was upgraded and fixed. The old painted facade was covered with 900 m2 of Eiffel 40100 mesh by CODINA hanging from the top to the bottom in sixteen separate pieces being almost 16 meters long. By using a horizontal substructure in stainless steel, the sheets were push in and out to form a zigzag pattern. The fixation system used in this project was TF-30. To add to the qualities the mesh can be illuminated at nighttime. The panels were installed by Artmesh.
