Design and high-energy efficiency are the elements behind the requalification project of San Nicolao, in the historical centre of Milan.
The 10,000 m² building, built in the 1960s, has been redefined interpreting in the best possible way the needs of the client, through a design which develops from the inside out and the introduction of a new image with clear references to Milanese rationalism. A textured modular surface, interspersed with different openings according to the exposure, with elements of vertical and horizontal sun protection, allows maximizing thermal efficiency, minimising dispersion and assuring adequate lighting comfort. The intervention is completed by a roof garden which is accessible from the offices.
