A 7-kilometer-long coastline area with lots of white sand - only 15 km from Copenhagen city center. The beach park is an artificially created nature and outdoor area, which at the same time serves as protection against flooding from the sea of the low-lying urban areas close to the coast. A landscape has been created here with dunes, lakes, meadows, and pastures, which today appear as a cohesive nature area.
The scope of the project was to make an overall design manual for the entire area in terms of future fixture to achieve a consistent appearance throughout the coastline. In addition, we were also the supplier of furniture for Strandparken, which was designed and produced for the area's unique nature.
The project was launched in December 2016 in collaboration with Strandparken I/S.
The design goal was to create products that focus on the basic features with its simple design can be integrated into the waterfront’s unique nature. Design idea and form of the various products should be harmonized for achieving simplicity and wholeness in the area. Design proposals have had a common theme where aesthetics and elegance are intended to ensure consistency across the waterfront.
The many different urban spaces fixtures include benches, waste bins, bicycle parking, bollards, large furniture for stays and much more for the barbecue areas and along the trail. The purpose of all these different fixtures is to make the entire park to appear attractive so this invites people to use various facilities which we hope will be of pleasure and for the benefit of all visitors.
