Renovation of a small house in the rice fields of Ebro Delta. The house is surrounded by a constantly changing landscape of paddy fields that can be totally green, totally dry or just an endless still water surface when it's flooded. The original house was a construction intended mainly for agricultural purposes, and the project seeks to have a house with a different relationship with its surroundings, more focused on leisure. There's a new hard platform around the house expanding its sphere of action. The boundaries of this platform are defined by a former water basin that is integrated in the construction and a grid of pillars. The light structure between the pillars and the house will support vegetation forming a green pergola. In the interior, the ground floor is split into two levels connected with the exterior platform through new and larger windows. In the centre of the space, a staircase located transversely leads to the attic where the bedrooms are.
