Originally, the space was extremely compartmentalized. In order to access the living room from the receiving area, one had to go through a dark and tortuous path. Following the removal of all existing partitions, we introduced a capsule containing both bedrooms and bathrooms, fed by the natural light from the courtyard.
One of the windows was incorporated in the receiving area, achieving natural light in all areas. Being a curved element, the transition from the entrance to the exterior area was remarkably more fluid. A lacquered-wood cladding connects the different domestic stages along the pathway (storage, hallway bench, doors and several household appliances), creating a unique element which colonises the space.
