Empire Diner, an iconic four-decade-old eatery in West Chelsea that has recently reopened for the third time.
The restaurants landmark exterior remains untouched while the interior has been redesigned by local firm Nemaworkshop to deliver a modern interpretation of a buzy diner.
Tambour panels made from white oak adorn the ceiling and curve down the walls to the floor. Bar fronts too use tambour, as do the booths, to complement the stainless steel walls, doors, and trim pieces.
A truly modern look for a historic diner
