If we are talking aboutnature attractions in Patong,we will think of a beach which looks like a crescent moon surrounded by mountains and facing the one of the most beautiful seasin Thailand. However, if we are talking about the night life, Patong is a place where clubs, bars, music and lightare known for sleepless night as well.
DSURE is a hotel located between both the beautiful beach and the club bar neighborhoods.

Renovation: Music, Nightlife, Sea, Waves, Beach, Mountains and Sea breezes
After operating for three years, the owner of the project found that tourists who come to the hotel are a group of people who want to relax in the nature, while at the same time they still want to have a night out along with the convenient and safe accommodation which is not too far from those clubs. The hotel would like to renovate the reception to make it more spacious by merging with a coffee shop and a nearby massage parlor and change the image of the project to meet needs of the customers.Initially, the two small units of an old coffee shop and a massage store, which were limited by only 5-meter between each pole, were decorated in a typical luxurious hotel style with the main use of shiny copper and pink.

The architects proposed a new way to improve the space to be more extensive and efficient by combining the coffee shop and the massage parlor into one areayet having one part as a resting area in which to create a peaceful and relaxing space for the guests. The hotel is outstanding from the surrounding night clubs by using the curve walls which were inspired from beach waves, mountain, and sea breezes. The wall heights are increased in line with human proportions not only to create a calmer feeling aswalking deeper and deeper inside, but it also adds a feeling of immensity by removing the old rectangular linesof the original building and instead replacing with a long-curved wall starting from the main road outside the project and flowing into the space of original structure, columns and walls making the small space feel wider than it is. The area is surrounded and turned into a waiting area,a coffee stop, a massage area and even use the space between curved walls as the check-in station for the hotel guests.

Materials:Sand, stone and copper are corroded from sea acids.
The architects chose to use a rough and fine texture to let people feel the natural material of both walls and floors on the contrary of the original copper and pink color. The walls use sand mixed with sprayed painted to let people feel the feeling of sand at the beach. The floors use sand and multi-grain gravels which the shade of colors are corresponded to the color of sand from dark to light. On the other hand, for the parts that the body has to touch such as the chair backrest are changed to smooth textured wood.Specially built waiting seats are made of white fiber mixed with small natural-shaped light gray stone beads allowing people to feel like sitting on the edge of stones. Thus, they are smooth enough to touch, rub and sit comfortably without worrying about the clothes. Lastly, the check-in counter uses copper plates which are corroded with sea acids to turn into copper, gray, and green color depending on the time that the acid is etched. Additionally, Copper is the original color that Dsure used as their cooperate identity in the first place before the renovation.
