Designing for Dexter’s is a huge opportunity – one that the CAS design team was recently tasked with. The concept of designing the façade of a corner store is a daunting one, but to create one for a Dexter’s corner store in a major area of London, UK is even more challenging. The team was asked to functionally adapt an existing exterior of an old building to represent a slightly more contemporary aesthetic. The designers rose to the challenge and created a design that artfully matches the old-school classical aura of the original, but with a modern twist. The white moldings complement the vintage bricks from the old exterior exceptionally well, and the overall execution has been carried out brilliantly.
