In a small plot of 7x14m, the juxtaposition of two cubic geometries of 7m and 3m defines house and front-yard. The house (7x7x7m) was placed in the center of the plot, connected to front and back yards by generous openings. A concrete bench reinforces these connections surpassing the threshold, dissolving the limits and bringing the yards as part of the living room, which seems to be 14m long (the whole plot). Taking advantage of the pre-existent house levels (+1m from the ground), a well-illuminated basement was proposed as home office. While the descending stair that serves it has a dense materiality, “caved into the ground”, the ascending one (ground to upper level) is light, made out of wooden blades, which helps natural light to reach the basement.
